Somewhat unbelieveable but everyone has seemed to missed the castle in Prescott Az! It serves I believe as a national guard building and as a meeting/training spot for the local SCA group Shire of Granite Mountain. Sadly I have no pictures for you and have moved from the area but it equals the beauty of many of the old national guard building of yester years. A must see on your way through Arizona.

I reside in the Shire of Granite Mountain, and I believe I know of the castle in question. There is a building that is the old Armory for the Guard. It is located in downtown Prescott on Gurley St. It is used by the city as a Parks & Rec site now. It is a beautiful stone building, and does look quite majestic, if you take the parking lot away! We do hold our S.C.A. fighter practices in the park right next to the Old Armory Building.

I live in Prescott Valley, AZ and on your Arizona page you have two listings for Prescott. First "PRESCOTT CASTLE??" that probably is the Old Armory at Gurley St. and Arizona Ave..
Does anyone have more information? Is there someplace I can get a picture?
