I live in Orange County in Southern California and down here we have a castle on a hill in an exclusive un-gated community called Nellie Gale. It's perched on a hill over looking the 5 Freeway and you can see it while facing west on the Oso Parkway bridge that crosses that freeway on the border of the towns of Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel. I don't know if it has a name, but if you drive down the actual street it's on, you can't see it; only it's front gate, because the actual castle is recessed and there are other mansions on both sides of the gate. I'm sorry I don't have a picture for you. It has these white twin globe lanterns that circle the property (maybe 30 of them!) and every Christmas season the white is replaced with one red and one green globe.

This home belonged to Terry "Hulk" Hogan of WWF (later WWE) fame, I believe. It was featured on their TV show and was put up for sale when the Hogans got a divorce.

I'm an Orange County local having lived in Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills and currently reside in San Clemente. I disagree with the former email stating that this was the location used to film "Hogan Knows Best". The Hogan reality series was filmed in Florida. The castle in question is located in Laguna Hills and can be viewed best from the intersection of Cabot Road and El Paseo near the 5 Freeway. I've located it on Zillow.com and the address is 26192 Oroville Place, Laguna Hills, CA 92653. Here is the Zillow.com write-up:
"Orange County castle designed for grand scale living. This one-of-a-kind residence offers 7 bedrooms, 10 baths and approximately 11,500 square feet of luxurious living space. I know the owner of this castle (MyThea Castle) , it's website is www.MyTheacastle.com. The owner named this castle after his wife and the only daughter names( My and Thea). The owner ( The Le family) keep this castle purely for charity events. And they live just a mile away in the equally impressive Villa which named after his only son ( Theodore). You can also see that Villa at:www.LeDoreVilla.com. Enjoy those magnificent properties.
