I am writing because a castle in Crestwood Kentucky is about to be torn down. The county says it has no historical value but I can't believe them. This is a very unique home. I have called the historical society but no one seems to care except the developers who want to fill it with small tract homes. The developers said they researched and found no historical value or any other records of its history.

Just to let you know I live only a few minutes from the Crestwood Kentucky area. They tore down the castle in that area to make room for some really large houses that a corporation wanted to buy. It was a sad sad day when that happened. I know the people that use to rent from the owners of the castle and there was no historical part of it. I think they should have still left it, but they didn't. Now, the lot is sitting empty waiting for someone to come and build on it.
{{Castlefinder note!}}
It would be nice if someone would find a way to save these old interesting buildings.
