I found a castle with lodging you may want to add to your list.

The Castle Hotel It is actually between Blowing Rock and Boone, NC. Our family—2 adults, 2 kids—stayed there 5 years ago. It’s right off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Hwy 221/321. It looks wonderful as you’re driving up. We stayed in a regular hotel room. Nice and clean—nothing fancy. The nicest part was that we were in a tower, so the master bedroom was downstairs, with the kids’ bedrooms, living room, and a small kitchenette was upstairs. We had a normal-sized window to look out of. Only the suites had the picture windows. Beautiful view as it was built on a hillside. I didn’t go into any suites, but could see chandeliers thru the picture windows as we drove to our room. The drive there is thru lovely mountainous farm areas, and the Parkway. Also, Tweetsie Railroad is on 221/321 very close to the Parkway (in case you’re interested). We bought The Castle Hotel baseball caps in the lobby when we checked out of the hotel. Copied from an ad I found: “A great getaway to the Mountains of North Carolina nestled in the quiet serenity of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Accommodations: 2 Bedroom and 1 Bedroom Studios. 205 Sampson Road.

We were in North Carolina in October and I am 99% sure the the CASTLE HOTEL described on your website is gone. We found what would have been that address and it was a hilly vacant lot, with a couple of overgrown parking lots. There were no structures of any kind remaining.

Does anyone have any information on this?
