I grew up in East Los Angeles, Ca. There is a castle that sits on top of a hill over looking the 10 freeway (San Bernardino) between the Soto & City Terrace exit. All my life I have wondered who it belongs to and what the history is behind it. I would even like to purchase it. Unfortunetly, it is very run down. Just yesterday my father told me when he was a young boy he remembers seeing a lady sit in her rocking chair looking out. If you have any information please let me know.

I think I know what unkown castle your contributor, that grew up in East L.A., might have thought of. It is in the city of Alhambra and actually East of Downtown L.A. it is called the Pyrenees Castle at 1700 Soutn Grandview Drive in Alhambra and is currently owned by the convicted Phil Spector and site of the gruesome murder of Lana Clarkson in 2003.
