Your Unknown in Venice Beach isn't much of a castle, alas. Just a small bungalow-sized house, maybe 1400 sq ft stucco which somebody put crenelated rooflines on as part of the spirit of whimsy that was the old Venice---it had actual Venetian canals and such in the 1920's when it was built, most of which have been paved over and don't remain. If you watch the classic Orson Wells movie "Touch Of Evil"--the parts that are supposed to be taking place in Juarez, Mexico at the start are actually shot among the downtown Venice buildings that were originally built to look like Venice, Italy. Of the original 4-cornered center of that area, only about 1.5 corners worth of original buildings remain.
